THIS WORKSHOP IS SUITABLE FOR INEXPERIENCED AND COMPETENT JEWELLERY MAKERS ALIKE. This is a very special workshop for making wedding rings. You may like to make your partners or your own, the choice is yours.
This workshop is just for you, you will not be in a large group.
YOU WILL HAVE THE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION OF THE TUTOR FOR THE WHOLE DAY.
There will be an additional charge for the precious metals used.
LUNCH AND REFRESHMENTS ARE PROVIDED.
HEALTH AND SAFETY IS IMPORTANT, PLEASE WEAR CLOSED IN SHOES, OLD CLOTHES AND TIE HAIR BACK.
Details
Make your own wedding rings! The day starts between 9.30 and 10.00am, depending on your choice ,and includes 6 hours of tuition.
The morning starts with refreshments, a discussion of design ideas, acclimatisation to the premises and equipment as well as Health and Safety issues.
We then start working in silver to cut, texture, stamp, hammer and mill the metal. All these pieces will be used to make jewellery. These pieces are ideal for gifts for Bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, groom or bride.
Lunch is a light meal, if the weather is good enough we will sit in the garden.
After lunch we start to make the wedding rings using the techniques practised in the morning.
Finally, your items will be sent to Birmingham for hallmarking and be sent to you when they are returned.
